No Man's Land / 2010
I chose to work with the Faraday cage, where diplomatic communications took place. This metal structure was a sealed-off area and no one was allowed access except a few individuals with high security clearance. This mysterious space was isolated from the rest of the world, a bit like the private thoughts of each person, a territory that is inaccessible by others. / Two weeks after the Embassy moved to their new location, this protected section of the French Embassy was opened to me and the other artists of "No Man's Land". I was very surprised by the amount of wiring and connecting cables on the ground and walls. There was wiring everywhere and so in the sidelines of my main installation I wanted to give them a place in my project.
